On the Matter of Spice (Sparingly Applied)
I hear there is quite a call these days for salacious tales brimming with steam and spice, and fortunately, there is no shortage of places one might acquire them to satisfy those literary appetites.
Yet there are those whose tastes run toward a different kind of romantic fantasy—who thirst for the slow burn of growing attraction, deep yearning, near misses, and the delicious clash of two stubborn hearts, all building toward a legendary love.
These are the stories I tell.
In my tales, you will find magic and adventure, dangerous courts and distant kingdoms, battles waged, loyalties tested, secrets uncovered, and destinies hanging in the balance. But through every triumph, betrayal, danger, and impossible choice, there is another tale being told. Love. It shapes what people risk, what they sacrifice, and who they become. Here, love does not merely unfold within the story but becomes a force within it.
That is not to say my tales are entirely innocent. On occasion, a bedroom door may be left ajar. But such glimpses are rare, and I prefer poetry to particulars—my little concession to literary decorum.
So, if you prefer your literature with a generous helping of titillating spice, I fear I may disappoint.

There is something rather delightful about not getting the whole story at once.
Serial fiction is a story shared chapter by chapter, with each new installment carrying the tale forward. It may sound like a thoroughly modern invention, but readers have been doing this for a very long time. Long before stories appeared on phones and tablets, people waited for the next installment of their favorite novels to arrive in newspapers and magazines.
The pleasure is much the same now: you read a chapter, wonder what will happen next, and know there is another piece of the story coming soon.
The Crowns of Ashwyn is written as a series of complete novels, but each book makes its first appearance one chapter at a time. New chapters arrive throughout the week, allowing you to follow the story as it unfolds.
Of course, not everyone enjoys being left wondering what happens on the other side of a chapter break. If you would rather wait until the entire tale is complete, finished novels will also be published as books once their serial releases have concluded.
Some readers like to savor a story one chapter at a time. Others would rather wait until the whole thing is sitting in front of them. Fortunately, there is room at the fire for both.
